All Work and No Play Would Make Bud a Dull Boy

Outstanding performance is one of the keys to success that I discuss in Straight Talk for Success.  If you want to become an outstanding performer, you need to do three things: 1) Stay technically competent by becoming a lifelong learner; 2) Set and achieve high goals; and 3) Get organized.

Besides all this, outstanding performers take care of themselves.  They are healthy.  They eat right and exercise and take some time for themselves occasionally.

I am going to follow my own advice here.  Friday is Cathy’s birthday.  She and I haven’t taken a vacation for quite a while.  That’s going to change, starting today.  We’re taking a long weekend in San Francisco.  We’ll do a little sight seeing and visit with some of our close friends.

We’ll also watch Cathy’s

Oklahoma Sooners beat Texas

on Saturday in the biggest college football game of the year in our house.

I will not be posting a blog on Thursday and Friday, October 9 and 10.  I will begin posting again on Monday, October 13.  I’ll be back on line then too.

As always, thanks for reading.

Bud
