Ask These Questions in Your Next Internship Interview

I came across an interesting article on internships the other day.  It listed seven questions to ask when you are interviewing for an internship.

Check them out…

  1. How will you evaluate my performance?
  2. How long have you been offering internships?
  3. What made past interns successful?
  4. What will my typical workday look like?
  5. Who will I be working with?
  6. Will I have the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of company employees?
  7. How often do you hire interns for full time jobs?

These are seven great questions.  You should ask all of them if possible.  Asking these questions will show that you have a genuine interest in the internship.  And, more important, that you are seriously considering the pros and cons of this particular internship opportunity.

While it’s great to have an internship to put on your resume, you don’t want to settle for the first one that comes along.  Take your time.  Ask the right questions.  You’ll impress the recruiter and hiring manager.  More important, you’ll be likely to land the internship that will help you grow and develop professionally.
