As a career mentor, I’m always looking for advice that can help my friends and clients get a little extra edge.
I’m one of the only people who know who doesn’t drink coffee. I don’t drink it because I don’t like how it tastes. This can cause some uncomfortable dining experiences when I’m with people I don’t know very well. When asked if I would like some coffee, I will say no to the server and tell my tablemates to feel free to order a cup because coffee is not my thing.
According to this article, that’s a good thing.

The idea that all a caffeine rush is restore us to our pre withdrawal state makes sense to me. How about you?
While I don’t drink coffee, I do drink Diet Coke. Lately I have been cutting down on it — for the reasons stated in the article.
So let’s do this together, I’ll give up Diet Coke for a week and you give up coffee. Let’s see if we end up being more productive, relaxed and in control.
Your career mentor,
Bud
