One of things that I’ve learned as a career mentor is that confidence is an important key to life and career success.
I devote 20 tweets to it in my career mentoring book Success Tweets.
This sign pdf from Brian Tracy helps you take a deep dive into your level of confidence.
This is not a short quiz, but I think it is a powerful one.
If you find that you need to improve your confidence remembers these six career mentor tips.
- Choose optimism. An optimistic perspective will help you build your self confidence.
- Surround yourself with positive people. Positive people feel good about themselves and will help build your self confidence by helping you feel good about yourself.
- Jettison the negative people in your life. Negative people are energy black holes. They will suck you dry — but only if you let them.
- Find and work with a mentor. By definition, mentors are positive people. They are willing to give their time and energy to help others succeed.
- Become a mentor. I’m sure you know something that somebody else needs to learn. Helping others is a good thing to do. It builds you karma, but it also builds your confidence.
- Face your fears and act. Fear is a confidence killer. It is also normal and human. So suck it up, look those fears in the eye and beat them.
Don’t let a lack of self confidence destroy your life and career success dreams.
Your career mentor.
