I love it when seemingly disparate things come together in interesting ways.
In one of the courses I teach at the University of Denver, we discuss how to be more persuasive. I begin the class by discussing Robert Cialdini’s six principles of persuasion: Reciprocity, Scarcity, Authority, Consistency, Liking and Consensus.
On the other hand, I’ve always enjoyed poster art. Today, I came across an infographic that shows examples of how Cialdini’s persuasion principles were used in propaganda posters — before he even came up with them.
