Speaking

If you’re looking for a dynamic, engaging, down to earth speaker for your next meeting, look no further you’ve found him. My name is Bud Bilanich, The Common Sense Guy. For the past 30 years, I’ve been conducting workshops and
coaching leaders for some of the world’s largest companies. I have been the keynote speaker many of my corporate clients internal meetings.

Recently, I decided that I can make more of an impact and share my message of applied
common sense with a wider audience by making myself available as a speaker to other companies, professional associations and college audiences.

I’ve taken all that I’ve learned in over 30 years in the business, and have created several dynamic presentations:

All of these presentations are full of “Common Sense, but Uncommon Wisdom”; simple, but powerful ideas that lead to success. I conclude each presentation with a call to action. I challenge my audiences to put their new knowledge to work. I tell them “knowing’s not enough – you have to do something with what you know”. My audiences leave armed with useful information and ideas, and the excitement and willingness to put this information and these ideas into use immediately.

I’m a story teller. I use stories to help people understand my message and to engage them. My stories cut across the range of human emotions. They are funny, sad, hopeful, frustrating. But they all have one thing in common. They provide useful advice. I draw an explicit connection between the stories I tell and the point I am making.

People love the stories because they see themselves and other people they know in them. But more importantly, my stories help people remember key ideas. People tell me that they feel as if they have gained years of experience – without making the mistakes that so often lead to experience — by listening to the stories I tell.
