I don’t have much of a commute — two flights of stairs. But I think the career success advice in this article is important.
When I lived in New York City I used to walk the 25 blocks to work every day — except when the weather was really bad.
And, as the article suggests, I arrived at work better able to focus and ready to start my day. I wasn’t sluggish like many of my coworkers who commuted by car, bus, train or subway.
Even if you can’t walk all the way to your office, try parking a little further away and walking that last mile or half mile. You’ll be surprised at the difference it will make in your work life.
