What Not to Do When You’re Looking for a Job

As your career mentor, I’m always looking for ways to help you create the life and career success you want and deserve.  That’s why I’ve affiliated myself with the good folks at Career HMO.  It’s also why I scour the internet looking for great job search and career advice I can pass on to you.

The other day I got at email from my friends at Corn on the Job.

It was an article called “12 Things to Stop Doing Immediately if You Want a Job,”

I love this article.  Here is a list of the 12.

  1. Stop Procrastinating
  2. Stop Being Negative
  3. Stop Going to Sleep to Early or Late
  4. Stop Applying to Everything
  5. Stop Getting Upset About Rejection
  6. Stop “perfecting” Your Resume
  7. Stop Talking Too Much
  8. Stop Caring About How Much You Make
  9. Stop Calling and Contacting Them for Updates
  10. Stop Looking Desperate
  11. Stop Conducting a Messy Job Search
  12. Stop Winging It

You can read the full article at Corn on the Job.

We teach many of these same idea in the Job Search Accelerator Program at Career HMO.  Check us out here.
