What to Do If You’re Bored at Work

Being bored at work sucks.

Before I became a career mentor, I had a corporate job.  I made good money, was secure and lived in New York City, a pretty sweet deal.  Problem is, I was bored.  I had too little to do.  I went through a couple of months where I did all my work for the week on Tuesday and spent the rest of the week being bored.  That’s when I knew it was time to leave that job and become a solopreneur.

Things worked out for me.  Over 26 years later, I’m never bored by my work as a career coach and leadership consultant.

But what if you’re bored, but don’t want to leave your job?  This article provides a great list of positive things that you can do to relieve your boredom and move your career forward.

I like the ideas about blogging and building a personal website.  Doing this will help you build your brand and build a reputation as a thought leader in your field.

Keep this article handy, and refer to it whenever you’re feeling bored at work.  Doing any of these 33 things will help.
