Often, as much as you might not like to hear it, it’s you — not them.
When you have a strong negative reaction to someone it’s a good idea to figure out why this is so. Which of your buttons does he or she push? Why?
You may find that you’re seeing something about yourself that you don’t like in this other person. If this is the case, the problem is yours, not his or hers.
On the other hand, as Kathy points out, this may be the kind of person that you just don’t want to spend time with — that’s OK. But before you reject somebody out of hand, it is a good ideas to figure out what about him or her really bugs you.
